Greenwich 75-92

This 10,500 sq. ft. new-construction Greenwich contemporary home was completed in 1992. This home sits perfectly on it's 2 1/2 acre lot, to which we performed much site work and landscaping. A driver-by may not notice this gem of a home, which blends into the surrounding natural elements of the property.  However, once seen this home is one that will not soon be forgotten. The home was exquisitely designed by the New York City firm of Lee Skolnick and Associates.

A carefully created blend of steel, concrete, masonry and a variety of woods, this home exudes sophistication and finesse in it's every detail. From it's intricate window feature capturing a circular stair, to it's elegant use of natural copper as a finished material, and it's three-story spiral staircase, there is nothing lackluster. The many rooms with unique skylights allow light to enter the home in a way that accentuates it's high ceilings, venetian plaster, and it's expertly laid interior brick work. American Cherry was used to trim the interior, giving the home a richness and depth that is sure to both impress and relax it's visitors.

The structural construction of the house was widely done with concealed structural steel. More than 50 I-beams were used to tie this masterpiece together. If concealing a beam, or truss, was not an option metal artisans were tasked with creating hand-crafted ornamental stainless steel plates to both support and beautify these areas. Artisans also created unique steel and glass partitions, and crafted the main stair railings. Outside, the same artisans were tasked with hand crafting light fixtures. The intricacy and attention to detail required for such a unique home makes this a prime example of the capabilities and talent of Allen J. Reyen, Inc.
